Final Fantasy VII Advent Children PLUS OVA (Last Order) below!
The Final Fantasy OVA called Last Order was released in Japan as part of a boxed set with the movie Final Fantasy VI: Advent Children. Unlike the movie there do not appear to be any plans to release it in North America.
This OVA basically chronicles the short story of Cloud's best friend, Zack, as he attempts to free himself and Cloud from Shinra's control and experiments. The story is actually quite similar to the ones that have been told in the game but the OVA presents slight variations on how things happened within the story. Because of this, just like Advent Children, it is necessary to have some knowledge of the game's story prior to watching this OVA. Style-wise, the OVA boasts high quality character design and animation courtesy MadHouse anime studio.
