In the year 2307 A.D, all the Earth’s fossil fuels have been depleted entirely. Mankind has therefore turned to the next available source of power: solar energy. The world has been split into 3 groups: The Human Reform League (Russia, China and India), The Advanced European Union (AEU), and the Free Nations Union (formerly the United States). Each of these groups has built an orbital elevator with a solar power generation system. Unfortunately, not all countries are able to properly use the benefits of this system. This has led to widespread resentment and consequently, war.
